Job Description
Join a fast-paced, highly innovative team at the cutting edge of software development forrapid capability deployment. You’ll work directly with algorithm experts to implement high-performance, robustC++ and Java softwarethat turns complex mathematical models into real-world solutions. This is a hands-on, intellectually stimulating role where your work will make a tangible impact, taking ideas from concept through to operational deployment in amission-critical environment.Collaborate with a small, agile team to solve challenging problems, optimise performance, and deliver high-integrity, real-time software in an air-gapped secure environment.
Location:Manchester (Stockport)
On-site:4-5 Days per week
Seniority:Mid-Senior (5+ years’ experience)

Key Responsibilities
* Design and maintain software build pipelines usingJenkins,Git,Bitbucket, andArtifactory
* Deploy and administer development tools includingJIRA,Bitbucket, and other DevOps utilities
* Drive improvements to theCI/CD process, enabling high-frequency delivery and robust integration
* Work with multi-disciplinary teams to maintain configuration traceability
* Attend team and project reporting meetings, feeding into dashboards and risk registers
Qualifications

* Strong experience inC++(mandatory) and familiarity withJava
* CI/CD pipelinebuild and optimisation experience
* Hands-on withJenkins,Git,Bitbucket,Artifactory
* Experience withAnsible,Shell/Bash/Python scripting
* Understanding ofAgileprocesses (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)
* Awareness ofcontainerisationusing tools likeDockerorKubernetes
* Strongteamwork, collaborating effectively across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
* Excellentcommunication skills, able to clearly convey technical and deployment information.
* Demonstratedleadership, mentoring colleagues, and influencing software delivery.

* Capable ofproject reportingand supporting risk management discussions.
Required Qualifications
* ABachelor’s or Master’s degreeinSoftware Engineering, Computer Science,or a related disciplineor relevant technical military background with equivalent hands‑on experience.
* Must be eligible for or already holdUK Security Clearance (SC)
* Experience withautomated testingand software assurance tools
* Exposure toLinux-based infrastructureandIACwith Ansible
* Familiarity withstatic analysisand quality control tools
