Job Description
We are hiring a Meetings & Events Manager to lead the sales strategy and execution of a prestigious events department in central London. This is a senior leadership role driving commercial performance and operational excellence in one of the capital’s premier venues.

What will you do?
1. Oversee and direct all aspects of the Meetings & Events Sales department, leading a team of 4+ professionals.
2. Drive revenue growth through strategic diary management, active selling, and commercial optimization.
3. Set, communicate, and implement clear sales and revenue strategies aligned with hotel goals.
4. Ensure all enquiries are handled promptly and professionally, in line with brand standards.
5. Maintain high-quality client data and ensure efficient distribution of event information across departments.
6. Monitor business performance, analyze Turn Down/Regretted/Cancelled business, and take action to ensure profitability.
7. Establish and manage yield policies in collaboration with F&B, Sales, and Revenue Management.
8. Track revenue KPIs including forecast, pace, market segmentation, and client spending metrics.
9. Deliver weekly and monthly team targets, sharing financial insights and ensuring alignment with forecasts.
10. Maximize repeat business by proactively engaging top clients and accounts.
11. Coordinate client show rounds, promotional offers, and events in partnership with the sales department.
12. Maintain up-to-date competitor intelligence and adjust pricing and strategy accordingly.
13. Participate in revenue meetings and client events, ensuring all actions align with broader commercial goals.
14. Recruit, onboard, and train new team members; develop training plans and support career development.
15. Ensure all MICE-related content on online platforms is accurate and up to date.
Requirements
16. Proven leadership experience in a Meetings & Events Sales role, ideally in a high-volume, upscale environment.
17. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to forecast, analyze, and drive revenue.
18. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales-focused team.
19. Expertise in yield and diary management with a focus on profitability.
20. Knowledge of MICE market trends, competitor analysis, and performance reporting.
21. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to build consensus and resolve challenges.
22. Deep understanding of hospitality systems, SOPs, and cross-functional collaboration.
