Full Time Payroll Assistant – Head Office Based at: Hybrid working-2 days in the office. The Role To support the Payroll Manager in administering the full end to end payroll service across the Brio payroll. Working collaboratively across the Sites and Departments of Brio Leisure to ensure the payroll is correct, complete and in accordance with company policies and statutory legislation. Working within company approval levels to process payroll related invoices and personnel expenses Main Duties and Responsibilities Learning and assisting with the accurate processing of monthly payroll for Brio employees through the company’s approved systems and processes. Accurately input data into the payroll processing system and maintain the payroll database. To assist with the functions of the monthly payroll, including monthly payroll and pension submissions and accurate accounting. Input new starter and process leavers and update tax code changes on the system. Assist with the calculation and processing of Statutory and Legislative inputs, such as SMP, SPP and attachment of earnings. Collaborate with the HR team to update personnel records as required and instructed. Utilise company Time and Attendance systems for timesheet input, checking, absence and holiday reporting. Ensure all information received from Managers and HR, is received by the pre published cut-off date each period and is properly authorised in line with company policy before it is processed. Work collaboratively with Department Managers to resolve payroll queries and/or system issues highlighted. Assisting in the completion of year-end statutory returns to HMRC and issuing of P60’s to employees in accordance with official deadlines set by HMRC. Answer general payroll queries by telephone, email and/or letter in a polite, professional, and timely manner. Accurately input personnel expenses data ensuring the company’s approval and processing policies are followed. Accurately process payroll/people related supplier invoices into the company’s accounting system ensuring all approvals are gathered correctly in advance. Conduct payroll supplier statements reconciliations as required. Preparation of National Statistic Surveys for Brio Leisure relating to people costs/data Assist in periodic statutory audits for the company. Provide regular communication with the Payroll Manager and Finance Manager on your work list progress and any queries in progress. Take responsibility to research and understand new/changing payroll legislation /policies, to provide accurate information. Provide cover for the Payroll Manager in periods of absence. Ad hoc other Finance and accounting tasks as required by Finance Management You will be expected to work remotely at home, with two allocated days in the head office, which is based at Northgate Arena.
