Role
Senior Project Leader, 1.0 WTE permanent post within the Outpatient and Associated Services Directorate. This post provides project management across a range of clinical services and multiple hospital sites. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of modernisation and quality improvement projects across a number of key specialties. This role requires close and effective working with a wide range of colleagues from primary and secondary care. You will also be responsible for the direct management of project staff; therefore experience in staff management is essential.
Responsibilities
* Manage projects or work in a project-focused environment, delivering modernisation and quality improvement initiatives across multiple hospital sites and clinical services.
* Provide leadership and direct management of project staff, including performance management and supervision.
* Collaborate with colleagues across primary and secondary care to deliver patient-focused improvements.
* Support the development and execution of project plans, timelines, and resource management to meet deadlines and priorities.
* Work within the NHS Scotland Centre for Sustainable Delivery objectives and NHS Lothian’s Outpatient Strategic Framework to improve patient journeys and system performance.
Qualifications and Experience
* A degree in Business Management or equivalent experience, with a demonstrable Project Management qualification or experience.
* Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Office; experience of using and creating databases is essential.
* Working knowledge of TRAK patient management system and Tableau dashboards is desirable.
* Well-developed organisational, planning, and time management skills, with excellent verbal and written communication and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including experience in staff management and performance management; ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
* Understanding of outpatient service provision would be beneficial.
