Ginny Arthur (she/her) Neurodivergent Therapist
Hi, I’m Ginny, a neurodivergent therapist passionate about working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ folks.
I know how powerful it can be to sit with someone who truly gets it, someone who doesn’t need you to translate, mask, or explain your way of being. As a neurodivergent person, I offer therapy that embraces difference, honours complexity, and holds space for all the parts of you.
I prioritise being authentically myself over being clinical. I believe therapy works best when you can be fully yourself – which means there’s space for swearing, sarcasm, challenge, humour, tears, silence, and everything in between. I don’t expect you to filter yourself or use ‘therapy-speak’ – our work is about authenticity, not performativity.
My practice integrates a variety of theory and techniques that help me to adapt my way of working to suit you best. In my opinion, there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to therapy. Equally, I believe that there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ therapist which means that if you decide that we are not the right fit for one another, we can work towards an ending together and figure out your next steps towards finding a relationship that works better for you.
I work online, which I’ve found to be a really supportive option for many of my clients. It means you can show up from your own space, with your own comforts, and reduce some of the sensory, social, and energy demands that often come with in-person therapy. Whether we’re talking with cameras on or off, using voice or chat, I’m happy to make reasonable adjustments and accommodations so sessions actually work for you.
I usually recommend meeting weekly, at least initially, because consistency can be really helpful in building a relationship, but that’s always open for discussion and adaptation depending on your needs. What matters most is finding a rhythm and a relationship that feels safe, supportive, and doable for where you are right now.
I don’t believe you need to be change or mask to be valued and respected, I believe you deserve space to be fully yourself. My practice is built out of an anti-discriminatory, anti-oppressive and neuro-affirming ethos. I want to meet you, exactly who you are, with all the identities that comprise you. No matter your sexual or gender identity, race or cultural background, faith or spiritual beliefs, disability, neurodivergence and anything else that makes you who you are, you are welcome, valued, and safe to be here.
Together, we can explore the things that feel hard, the things you want to understand more clearly, and the parts of you that are ready to be met with care.
If you think we might be a good fit and would like a free 20-minute chat about if we might work well together, please drop me an email at ginny@ginnyarthurcp.co.uk and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible – usually within 48 hours.
