Job Title: Scrub Nurse (Full-Time / Part-Time) Location: Salford Royal Hospital, Salford Employer: Bluestones Medical Agency Pay Rate: £16.00 - £27.00 per hour About the Role Bluestones Medical Agency is currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Scrub Nurses to support theatre services at Salford Royal Hospital. These roles are available on a full-time or part-time agency basis, offering flexibility while working within a busy and supportive surgical environment. As a Scrub Nurse, you will play a vital role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring the operating theatre runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, sterility, and care. Key Responsibilities Prepare the operating theatre prior to surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and available. Scrub in and assist surgeons and the wider theatre team during operations. Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of surgeons and theatre staff during operations. Conduct accurate counts of surgical instruments, swabs, and needles before, during, and after procedures. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process. Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, ODPs, and theatre staff. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital policies and infection control procedures. Requirements Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration. Previous experience working as a Scrub Nurse within a theatre environment. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical setting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work full-time or part-time agency shifts.
