Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Field Service Engineer to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of Rapiscan products across the UK and EMEA. In addition to hands‑on technical work, you will manage a regional team of 5–10 Field Service Engineers, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
The role will be covering the Heathrow area and South Regions on occasions.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate a regional team of Field Service Engineers in daily service activities.
* Manage administrative tasks including stock control, preventive maintenance schedules, and shift rotas.
* Act as the primary point of contact for customer liaison and issue resolution.
* Communicate service updates and documentation effectively to the team via meetings, calls, and emails.
* Conduct annual performance reviews and support continuous professional development.
* Maintain accurate training records and ensure timely re‑certifications.
* Collaborate with senior management on initiatives and report achievements and concerns.
* Promote a culture of safety and compliance, including risk assessments.
Qualifications
* Strong technical background with leadership aspirations – training and mentoring provided.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills.
* Previous experience in a customer‑facing role.
* Solid electronics and computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
* Extensive experience supporting field‑based teams servicing high‑tech security systems.
* Recognised engineering qualifications (BTEC, City & Guilds HNC or equivalent).
