Mental Health Nurse
Location: Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
The closing date is 21 June 2026
Forest Lodge is an 18‑beded unit near Southampton City Centre supporting 6 female residents and 12 male residents in a communal living environment. At the unit we proactively support residents experiencing mental health and associated difficulties to improve and/or maintain their health and wellbeing, and social inclusion, promoting the principles of recovery, choice and personalisation at all times.
We are currently looking for a Band 5 RMN to complement our small but passionate team. As part of an innovative and professional service, the successful candidate will assess, plan, implement and evaluate the recovery and care needs of residents, promote Trust standards within the team and maintain the safety and effectiveness of the ward environment, within the overall framework of the services policies and procedures. Experience working in mental health, particularly in rehabilitation or community settings, is required, with a passion and enthusiasm for promoting independence and recovery.
The service is still developing, providing an opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the service to maximise benefits for our service users. The service operates Monday to Friday with no requirement to work unsociable hours. The role offers flexibility for some working from home. The role requires a valid driving licence and car.
We work closely with other Mental Health Community Teams across Southampton in addition to local charities and other supportive organisations. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed during the interview process.
