Radiographer
Location: Duchy Hospital, Truro
Hours: Part Time – 15 hours per week
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer to join our patient-centred team at Duchy Hospital, Cornwall’s only private hospital. This part-time role (15 hours per week) is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality imaging services and prioritising patient safety. You will be responsible for general X-ray and theatre duties, contributing to a flexible and responsive radiology service.

The hospital offers a wide range of treatments including orthopaedic surgery, spinal surgery, cardiology, cosmetic surgery, general surgery, ophthalmology, gynaecology, urology, and ENT.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform general radiographic examinations and theatre imaging duties in accordance with hospital protocols and standards.
2. Ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort throughout the imaging process.
3. Participate in the out-of-hours and weekend on-call rota.
4. Support the department’s transition towards seven-day working.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to clinical audits.
6. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
7. Adhere to radiation protection guidelines and maintain equipment safety checks.
8. Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold Ramsay’s values.
What You’ll Bring With You
9. Degree or Diploma in Radiography
10. HCPC registration
11. Sound written and verbal communication skills
12. A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the business
13. Demonstrated customer service skills
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. Willingness to participate in the on-call rota
Working Hours
16. Part Time: 15 hours per week
17. Department currently operates: 8am – 6pm (subject to future extension)
18. Participation in out-of-hours and weekend on-call rota is expected
19. Moving towards seven-day working
