Job Title: Lecturer in Counselling Salary: £15,760 - £18,737 (FTE £31,520 - £37,474) Location: Dewsbury and Huddersfield Hours and Weeks per Year: 18. 5 hours/52 weeks At Kirklees College we are always looking for new talent, and welcome applications from all sectors. We are looking for a knowledgeable and inspiring Lecturer of Counselling to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified and practicing counsellor with a passion for sharing their expertise and nurturing the next generation of professionals. You'll bring real-world insight into your teaching, creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment that blends theory with practical application. You'll predominantly be based at Dewsbury with some classes in the Huddersfield centre. Your focus will be to deliver high-quality counselling education to adult learners, inspire and support students through their professional development and contribute to a positive, reflective and ethical learning culture. You'll have a Therapeutic Counselling qualification at Level 4 or above, be a member of a professional association for Counselling or Psychotherapy, and have (or be willing to work towards) a teaching qualification. It's important that you're able to demonstrate recent work with adults, a strong interest in education and training and a commitment to personal growth alongside our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
