A well-established packaging machinery manufacturer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their growing UK service team. This is an exciting opportunity for a multi skilled engineer (Mechanical bias) to join a respected manufacturer supplying industrial bag closing and packaging machinery across multiple sectors including food, agriculture and chemicals.
Field Service Engineer
£40,000 – £48,000 + Overtime + Door-to-Door Pay + Company Vehicle
Location: Northwest

* 7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm working hours

* UK/IRE travel required – customer site visits nationwide
* 5 overnight stays a month

Responsibilities
* Installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial bagging and packaging machinery at customer sites across the UK.
* Carrying out mechanical work including chains, bearings, sprockets, gearboxes, belts, shafts and general moving components.
* Working with pneumatics and mechanical drive systems.
* Supporting basic electrical fault finding when required (motors, sensors, drives).
* Diagnosing and resolving faults with minimal supervision.
* Interpreting mechanical drawings and basic electrical schematics.
* Delivering high levels of customer service and representing the business professionally on site.
Key Requirements
* 2+ years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role (packaging experience advantageous but not essential).
* Strong mechanical fault-finding ability.
* Experience working on industrial machinery.
* Intermediate electrical knowledge (1-phase / 3-phase) beneficial.
* Engineering qualification Level 3 or above (mechanical preferred).
* Comfortable working independently in a field-based position.
* Full UK driving licence.
