Job description
Full Time, Fixed Term - 2 years.
An exciting opportunity for those looking to develop a new career in social housing.
You will be joining the Tenancy Management team as a Housing Officer Trainee, learning on the job whilst completing an apprenticeship and Chartered Institute of Housing qualification, with a dedicated study day and experienced Housing Officers and Managers who will be able to support you on your journey.
You will be managing a patch in Bristol supporting residents to maintain their tenancies, effectively dealing with cases of breaches of tenancy and helping to ensure estates are places where tenants feel proud to live.
This is a full time position that will suit someone interested in housing but with no previous experience required. It would particularly suit someone who is ambitious and looking to develop their career in social housing, working in a challenging and rewarding role.
You should have good inter-personal skills and be able to work with a broad range of people to ensure tenants are supported to successfully maintain a tenancy. You will collaborate with partner agencies, other departments and Housing Officers and demonstrate experience of equalities and diversity issues.
The Housing Officer Trainee role is rewarding, varied and complex; no two days will be the same.
