Gluing Machine Minder
Location: Aylesford, Kent
Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 per annum DOE
Hours:
Monday – Friday
Rotational Shifts: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-6am (40 hours per week, 40-minute paid break)
Gluing Machine Minder
Pin Point are working with a well-established retail packaging manufacturer based in Aylesford, Kent. They serve global brands including Sony PlayStation, Fortnum & Mason, and Graze, producing packaging for various markets such as homewares, cosmetics, food and beverage, and home entertainment. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Gluing Machine Minder to join their team.
Gluing Machine Minder Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate gluing machines (including Starfold, Omega, and Diana) to ensure high-quality production in a fast-paced environment.
* Complete necessary administration tasks, including data entry into business systems.
* Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with the gluing machines.
* Ensure all quality checks are carried out according to company guidelines.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area, including tools and equipment.
* Advise supervisors on consumable stock requirements and assist with material preparation.
* Assist in the training and development of gluing apprentices and assistants.
* Adhere to business management system and certification requirements.
* Perform any other duties as required by the management team.
Gluing Machine Minder Requirements:
* Proven experience operating gluing machines, including but not limited to Starfold, Omega, and Diana.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* Experience within the packaging sector is desirable.
* Methodical and detail-oriented approach to work.
