Your Role


EF Torquay Summer School is seeking an organised and proactive Academic Coordinator to join our team for summer 2026.

Position Details:

1. Full-time
2. 5 days a week
3. Fixed-term contract between June – August 2026
4. Accommodation available is necessary

Responsibilities

5. Oversee class scheduling and student timetabling
6. Assist with placement testing and student intake processes
7. Monitor student attendance and ensure policy compliance
8. Support teachers with academic administration and classroom resources
9. Coordinate weekly academic reports and ensure students receive certificates
10. Assist students with academic queries and exam bookings
11. Maintain accurate academic records and data management
12. Cover classes for absent teachers
13. Work closely with the Academic Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

14. Available between June-August 2026
15. TEFL or CELTA (preferred) qualified
16. Excellent communication skills
17. Sensitive to the needs of international students
18. Confident in teaching young learners (13-17)
19. Demonstrates a high level of customer service
20. Has strong administrative and organisational skills
21. Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internal databases
22. All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
23. Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment
24. C2 level of English
