Job Description
The Payroll Team Leader role is initially a 12 month contract and will be hybrid working- 3 days in office/2 days remote- Reporting to the Head of Payroll Key responsibilities will include:
* Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including tax and pension contributions.
* Review and approve payroll reports, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
* Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to support month-end and year-end processes.
* Lead and mentor the payroll team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations.
* Stay updated on payroll legislation and communicate changes to the team as needed.
The Successful Applicant
In order to apply for the role you should:
* Have previous experience as a Payroll Specialist looking to take the next step or be an experienced Payroll Supervisor
* Be able to commute 3 days per week to Macclesfield office
* Be able to consider a 12 month contract initially
