Credit Controller Salary: up to £37,000 DOE Location: Pershore Contract: Permanent, Full-time We’re working with a leading construction business who are looking for a dedicated and experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is a critical role where your expertise will directly impact the company’s cash flow and project delivery. In the fast-paced world of construction, effective credit control is essential to keeping projects on track. You’ll take ownership of credit management across a varied client base, ensuring timely payments, reducing overdue balances, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities Manage credit control processes across multiple construction projects. Monitor and chase outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow. Build and nurture relationships with clients, suppliers, and site teams to resolve payment issues efficiently. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management to support financial planning. Identify and implement improvements to credit control procedures. Support payroll processing as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in credit control, ideally within construction, contracting, or a similarly fast-paced industry. Strong communication and negotiation skills – confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with finance and payroll systems (SAGE 50 preferred).
