Handle's client, a leading Music Company, is looking to recruit a Finance Director to oversee the rapidly growing Finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department in the UK.
In addition to general Financial Control, the role involves commercially focused business tasks, decision-making, and strategic input, working closely with senior figures and managers within the Group.
Requirements for the ideal candidate:
* Be responsible for the overall financial security and performance of the group
* Provide forecasts to the board to give visibility of financial opportunities
* Collaborate with the Board to build value in the business
* Work with business units to improve financial performance
* Conduct competitor analysis
* Develop financial models to understand projects better
* Formulate and manage business plans for the business units and the group
* Monitor cash flow and solvency
* Report to the Board on financial matters
* Ensure system performance meets business needs
* Manage policies regarding capital, debt, taxation, equity, acquisitions, and disposals
* Implement controls to ensure stable and profitable management
* Work with auditors to deliver timely annual accounts
* Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements (PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.) and stay informed of legislative changes
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading and innovative Record Label. The successful candidate must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a proven track record of adding commercial value within the Music Industry, specifically within a Record Label or Music Publishing company.
Music Industry experience is essential!
