Mortgage Administrator - Chelmsford
My client, a leading independent mortgage brokerage, is seeking an experienced Mortgage Administrator to join their established Mortgage Service Centre at their Head Office in Chelmsford. As one of the region's most respected mortgage and protection specialists, they work closely with a wide network of estate agents, introducers, builders, accountants, and solicitors-providing fully independent mortgage and protection advice. Due to their strong market presence, they also benefit from access to a range of exclusive mortgage products not available to the general public.
Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-driven professional to play a key role in progressing mortgage applications from submission through to completion. You will act as the main point of contact for clients, lenders, and solicitors, ensuring every case is managed smoothly, efficiently, and with exceptional service throughout.
Key Responsibilities
* Progress mortgage applications by liaising with lenders, ensuring cases move efficiently from submission to offer and completion.
* Maintain proactive communication with clients, solicitors, and internal teams to ensure all documents and information are accurate and up to date.
* Manage and process all incoming correspondence, including emails, documents, and post.
* Handle inbound calls professionally, offering clear and timely updates.
* Work closely with Advisers and Sales Teams to ensure a seamless client journey.
* Keep clients fully informed of progress, anticipating and resolving any potential delays.
* Occasionally visit branch offices to support field-based Advisers when required.
Salary & Benefits
* £26,000 - £28,000, depending on experience.

Working Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Previous experience working in mortgage administration or as a mortgage case owner (essential).
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
