At Vets for Pets Sheffield Millhouses, we are looking for a small animal veterinary surgeon who wants to join our friendly, longstanding, practice in South West Sheffield. Due to having such a strong and experienced team in place we are open to consider recently qualified candidates looking for their first role or for more experienced vets looking for the next step in their career working in a practice that can truly help them achieve their career goals.
We are a stand-alone practice offering a welcoming environment, with all the top-quality equipment you would expect such as high end digital x-ray and a brand new ultrasound. We are proud to be part of our wonderful local community and strive to offer outstanding friendly care to all our patients, contextualised to their individual needs.
We are growing all the time, seeing a variety of interesting surgical and medical cases, and we are now looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our existing team of 4 veterinary surgeons, 6 qualified veterinary nurses, full reception, and admin team. Our team are friendly, knowledgeable, and very supportive and this is demonstrated by everyone getting their say in practice, shaping the care they provide and creating a real ‘Millhouses Way’ attitude to enjoy our days at work delivering great outcomes for our patients.
This role is ideally full time with a 4-day working week and a 1:4 Saturdays. There is no on call or OOH so your time off is truly that; time to switch off and enjoy the wonderful peak district on our doorstep! However, we are open to other options, so if you are looking for a part time role, we are open to discuss this.
What makes this role different for you
Tim and Alistair own and run the practice. Both qualified from Glasgow together in 2006 and decided to become JVPs in 2011. They are both very experienced both medically and surgically and can offer support in both soft tissue and Orthopaedic surgery, as well as all things medical, allowing you to build on your own skill set if that is your passion.
