About the Role As a University Mail Services Assistant, you will play a key part in the smooth running of our central mail hub. From handling customer enquiries and coordinating specialist courier bookings, to managing international shipment paperwork and processing outgoing University mail, your role will be varied, purposeful, and essential. You will also support the financial administration of the service - monitoring mail costs and liaising with suppliers (training will be provided). At times, you will step in to cover delivery rounds by bicycle or van, keeping our services running smoothly for staff and departments across Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine customer service, administration, and hands-on operational work in a role that supports the world’s leading University. About You
You will bring:
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
7. Experience of delivering effective administrative support.
8. Confidence using IT systems including Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
9. Understanding of finance processes such as raising invoices and handling billing queries (will be trained)
10. Knowledge of mail services and logistics, with a flexible approach to supporting both administrative and delivery tasks.
11. A full UK driving licence
