About This Role
Required for a September 2025 start, we are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Intervention Assistant. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Pastoral Assistant and Year Team staff in promoting and taking responsibility for the well-being and pastoral development of students, ensuring a high standard of behaviour and welfare across the Academy.

Required for a September 2025 start, we are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Intervention Assistant. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Pastoral Assistant and Year Team staff in promoting and taking responsibility for the well-being and pastoral development of students, ensuring a high standard of behaviour and welfare across the Academy.
The Behaviour Intervention Assistant will carry out a range of responsibilities and will be promoting and fully supporting the Academy 'behaviour system', ensuring that duties are carried out according to Academy policy.
This is an interesting and varied role that includes liaising with parents, teaching staff & outside agencies as required.
The working pattern for this position is Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm and Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm, 37 hours per week.

The Academy
Ormiston Bushfield Academy is a good school (OFSTED – December 2019), conveniently located close to the Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire & Lincolnshire borders, and benefits from excellent road and rail links.
The Academy is continuing to expand and due to its popularity and increasing student numbers, a new £6 million wing was opened in September 2018. This extension is an addition to the £20.6 million state-of-the-art building that was completed September 2012, giving every student the opportunity to learn in an exciting and inspiring environment at an Academy that has been recognised for its high standards of inclusion. The Academy has continued to build on the successes of the last few years and achieved strong results at GCSE & A-Level in the summer.

* Be an effective communicator both orally and in writing and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
* Be well-motivated and approachable with a positive attitude.
* Be able to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
* Have excellent organisational skills, be able to work unsupervised and the ability to plan and prioritise their workload.
* Already have or able to develop sound working knowledge of the behaviour pathways.
* Be flexible in their approach to the requirements of the post.
