As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:
14. Conducting major and minor repairs on Mercedes-Benz trucks
15. Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
16. Diagnosing vehicle faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
17. Maintaining accurate records of work completed using all relevant systems
18. Completing warranty claims and necessary documentation
19. Carrying out wheel alignments and tyre fitting
20. Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety standards
21. Managing workshop inventory and ensuring a clean, safe work environment
22. Supporting other team members with repairs and diagnostics
23. Working efficiently to meet customer deadlines and quality standards
Requirements of this HGV Technician role include:
24. Level 3 NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
25. Proven experience in diagnostics and repair work on commercial vehicles
26. Ability to identify worn or faulty components according to DVSA standards
27. Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle categories
28. A strong work ethic and excellent problem-solving skills
29. Passion for vehicle repair and customer service excellence
