Overview
You will work in a range of primary schools, Family Hubs, community-based venues and online from home. The role involves delivering Family Learning courses and supporting parents and carers to engage in learning, improve life chances and enjoy family life with their children. The programme includes Family English, Maths and Language (ESOL) as well as personal development, parenting, basic cookery, family first aid and creative courses with embedded English and maths. Courses run from one week to four terms, typically delivered in two-and-a-half hour sessions per week. You will be paid for preparation time as well as teaching time on a 1:1 ratio and are expected to attend three tutor meetings per year and actively engage with CPD.

Responsibilities
* Deliver a broad range of Family Learning courses face to face and online.
* Support parents and carers to engage in learning and improve life chances.
* Encourage families to learn together and enable progression to further learning and employment.
* Engage with the Family Learning Team and contribute to a high-quality curriculum.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Hold relevant teaching and subject qualifications.
* Experience of working with families in the community.
* Motivated to make learning fun, enjoyable and inspirational.
* Willing to complete standardised paperwork.
* Able to deliver at Entry Level to Level 2 across a range of programmes to exam.
* Flexible to teach various hours during the week, including evenings and in school holidays (and the very occasional Saturday by prior agreement).
* Able to drive, as driving is required to meet provision, delivery and quality requirements for this role.
* English and maths skills at Level 2 or GCSE Grade C/4 to underpin all delivery; programmes are mapped to the Adult Core Curriculum and can progress to Functional Skills and Trinity ESOL qualifications. Knowledge of the Primary Curriculum is also required.
