Childcare Centre Manager (Ages 2–4)
New Satellite Setting – Opening June 2026
Location: Jubilee Centre, Bircholt Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 9XY
We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Childcare Centre Manager to lead a brand-new early years setting for children aged 2 to 4, based within a supportive school environment.
This is a unique opportunity to establish and shape a high-quality provision from the ground up, creating a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the setting, with a strong focus on high-quality teaching and learning, staff development, safeguarding, and compliance. You will work closely with the EYFS Lead and report to the Headteacher.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead daily operations, ensuring legal ratios, high standards, and effective staff deployment
2. Build and maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
3. Model and drive high-quality early years practice in line with the EYFS framework
4. Oversee engaging, inclusive planning and ensure effective observation, assessment, and progress tracking
5. Use assessment to inform next steps and support all children’s development, including early language
6. Ensure all staff effectively fulfil their key person responsibilities
7. Maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating environment, with rigorous safeguarding and health & safety practices
8. Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and accurate record-keeping
9. Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, promoting communication and involvement
10. Contribute to ongoing development of the provision alongside the EYFS Lead
About You
11. Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum); Level 5+ preferred
12. Proven leadership experience in a nursery or early years setting
13. Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
14. Experience of leading teaching and learning and supporting staff performance
15. Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
16. Passionate, proactive, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.
