Test Engineer - Fire Suppression Systems (Future Talent Pipeline)

This role offers real diversity and variety across a wide range of products and tasks, working within our testing labs and would be the perfect role for an engineer looking to apply their technical ability in a client focused role. Strong communication and project management skills are at the heart of this role. You’ll be managing multiple projects so strong project management skills are a must. Suitable candidates for this role could include fire detection/alarm engineers or candidates from a relative fire detection device manufacturing environment.
To liaise with clients, and advise on the status of work to facilitate premier customer service & on-time delivery on all work and projects.
Develop technical skills to enhance own skills & ability to carry out testing work across a wide variety of laboratories, equipment and standards or client bespoke requirements.
Operate in line with quality and safety procedures to ensure compliance with the organisation’s and legislative requirements and the requirements of ISO 17025
Produce quality test reports in a timely manner or project status reports as requested
Liaise with calibration department on the maintenance and use of the correct equipment to carry out testing.
Maintain good housekeeping in the Lab, office with all electronics data storage
Report and escalate issues in testing which impact performance or quality of results.
~ A minimum of a BTEC/HNC/HND in a related engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience in a test environment.
Good level of computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
Experience in Installation of Fire detection system would be advantageous.
Hands on experience in Fire Suppression equipment testing would be advantageous.
