The Role As a key specialist within the council’s landlord service this role is required to proactively contribute to the wider housing management team, including through the support, development and delivery of the wider housing strategy. Duties will include: · Investigating and managing complex anti-social behaviour and tenancy enforcement cases. · Leading enforcement action, gather evidence, prepare prosecution files, and attend court. · Liaising with police, probation, and council teams to deliver coordinated responses. · Issuing legal notices and oversee tenancy breaches, ensuring accurate case recording. · Supporting Housing Management Officers with low-level ASB and neighbour disputes. · Providing leadership, advice, and budget management to ensure effective service delivery. In this role you shall be required to deputise for the Housing Services Manager as necessary and to represent the council on a range of partnership networks. Skills and Experience You’ll bring the ability to manage complex cases, work collaboratively with partners, and deliver positive outcomes for tenants and neighbourhoods. You’ll need: Strong knowledge of ASB legislation, policies, and procedures in social housing. Experience planning, organising, and delivering enforcement strategies. Proven ability to manage resources, budgets, and risk effectively. Excellent people management, customer service, and partnership working skills. Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation abilities. Hybrid working would be possible occasionally however there is an expectation that the postholder will be regularly present in each area for customers and to support Housing Officer where required What can we offer you?
