Role Information The school is seeking a reliable, practical, and safety-focused Caretaker to join their site team. Key Responsibilities: Opening and closing the school site, ensuring buildings are secure Conducting daily site checks, maintenance inspections, and safety audits Performing minor repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting, general maintenance) Supervising contractors and ensuring work meets safety/compliance standards Managing deliveries, moving furniture, and setting up rooms for events/exams Maintaining outdoor areas: pathways, car parks, playgrounds, sports surfaces Monitoring heating, lighting, alarm systems, and energy systems Ensuring compliance with health & safety, fire safety, COSHH, and risk assessments Responding to emergencies, callouts, and urgent maintenance needs Supporting the site manager with long-term maintenance planning This role suits someone practical, physically fit, proactive, and highly dependable.
