Due to our continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive at our Banstead branch.
The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Executive to identify new customer acquisition opportunities and develop strong relationships with existing customers. The role involves working within an agreed area to grow sales and profit targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build close relationships with customers to ensure loyalty and prevent them from turning to competitors.
2. Develop a robust sales strategy to identify and convert new business opportunities.
3. Develop and maintain existing business through a territory strategy.
4. Promote our product range by introducing promotions and new lines.
5. Negotiate prices and terms with customers to meet margin targets.
6. Follow up on quotations for existing and prospective customers.
7. Plan daily calls and appointments to maximize customer contact.
8. Establish and review the calling cycle for efficient use of time.
9. Keep records of calls and information gathered.
10. Maintain sales paperwork and track sales and margin results.
11. Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively.
The Hours
Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 17:00
Skills & Experience Required
1. Proven sales experience within the Builders Merchant industry.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Excellent organizational skills.
4. Problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
5. Knowledge of building supplies, products, and services.
6. Understanding of Health and Safety standards in the industry.
