Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and suitably qualified HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to apply for the position of Blood Science Laboratory Manager within the Blood Sciences Department at Hywel Dda University Health Board.
Effective organisational and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must have the ability to work and manage a team efficiently.
The post holder will act as the laboratory lead for Hywel Dda University Health Board's blood science service at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.
Main duties of the job
* Organise and ensure the quality of work within the Blood Science team at Withybush Hospital.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to operational managers, site managers, and senior staff to maintain the blood science service.
* Collaborate with clinical leads to manage risks and ensure patient safety.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field to facilitate quality improvement and service efficiency.
Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
