Engineering Planner – Heavy Industry

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Planner with a strong maintenance background to join a large, globally recognised heavy industry organisation.


This role suits an ex-engineer (minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance) who is confident working with established engineering teams and senior stakeholders, and who enjoys driving structure and change in a busy industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities


* Plan and coordinate planned shutdowns and outages
* Organise day-to-day engineering activities
* Use SAP / CMMS to plan and schedule future engineering works
* Liaise with Purchasing to ensure cost control and material availability
* Produce and manage risk assessments, safe systems of work, and audits
* Work closely with senior stakeholders to align engineering plans with business needs
* Support and implement change management initiatives
