Job Overview
The HSEQ Systems Advisor will play a key role in supporting the organisation's commitment to health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) excellence. This role's key responsibilities are:
* conduct internal and supplier audits,
* lead and/or assist incident investigations,
* assist with management reviews,
* ensure accurate maintenance of the organisation's cloud-based EHS platforms (EcoOnline EHS, Sypol, Effective),
* assist with reviewing / updating the organisation's policies, procedures and work instructions,
* provide accurate HSEQ data to support organisational reporting and work closely with site managers and functional leads to prepare for and support external audits,
* contribute to the development and delivery of HSEQ training and support business functions in preparing and maintaining risk assessments.
Duties
* Undertake documented HSEQ internal and supplier audits against the management system standards, Integrated Management System procedures and requirements of the business.
* Proactively support and embed a positive safety culture through constructive engagement on site and throughout Augean's activities.
* Provide HSEQ support and advice to the business operations as specified by the Group Head of HSEQ, to ensure compliance and standards are maintained; and promote procedural changes to align with good, safe working practices.
* Assist operational teams to develop risk assessments and safe systems of work.
* Assist external auditors and helping Augean to maintain required certification and accreditation.
* Assist with close-out of HSEQ queries from both internal (i.e. Augean) and external (i.e. stakeholder) sources.
* Assist with onsite training and toolbox talks to Augean staff, contractors and customers as required.
* Assist with daily incident reporting, identifying unsafe acts and conditions and safe acts / good practice for health and safety, environmental and quality issues.
* Assist with delivering HSEQ campaign programmes.
* Ensure internal stakeholders are kept informed of upcoming and new requirements.
* To undertake all duties with due regard to health & safety, and the environment.
* Use site visits to gather and promote best practice across the Group.
* Uphold and demonstrate the company values and behaviours at all times and actively promote these with Group colleagues, customers and external stakeholders.
You will need
* Strong report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
* Experience of working in a HSEQ role.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Driving licence and willingness to travel to other sites.
* a level 3 qualification in occupational safety and health is desirable.
