Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our magnet manufacturing company in the UK. The ideal candidate will oversee production operations, and ensure efficient distribution and warehouse stock control, with a focus on technical assemblies. They will also support the General Manager and QSHE Manager with site facilities.
3. Oversee daily production operations and ensure schedules are met, maintaining consistent output and adherence to plans.
4. You will be doing with a significant of low volume, bespoke orders as well as the high-volume orders. Therefore a creative and problem solving mindset is essential.
5. Supervise technical assembly activities, safeguarding quality standards and ensuring all specifications and procedures are followed.
6. Oversee daily production operations and ensure schedules are met, maintaining consistent output and adherence to plans.
7. Implement and uphold production standards, procedures, and quality controls to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
8. Monitor key production metrics, preparing regular performance, progress, and inventory reports to support operational decisions.
9. Manage facilities to ensure smooth and safe operation, coordinating maintenance, repairs, and adherence to all safety requirements.
10. Oversee warehouse distribution and stock control, supporting efficient receipt, storage, dispatch, and optimisation of inventory processes.
11. Lead and develop production team leaders, providing guidance, feedback, and support while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
12. Drive cross‑functional collaboration with warehouse, maintenance, and QSHE teams to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient end‑to‑end operations.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Production Supervisor will:-
13. Ideally you will have an Engineering Degree and have some leadership or management experience, although there is some flexibility with this requirement.
14. Proven experience supervising production in manufacturing environments, with strength in technical assemblies and (ideally) Magnet‑related processes.
15. Strong capabilities in facilities management, warehouse operations, and effective stock control using relevant tools and systems.
16. Skilled in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, quality assurance, and maintaining high production standards.
17. Proficient with manufacturing machinery, MS Office, and inventory management software to support efficient operations.
18. Excellent leadership, organisation, communication, and problem‑solving abilities suited to fast‑paced production settings.
19. Educated to degree level in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields (preferred), with a self‑motivated and results‑driven approach.
