£40k + car + exceptional benefits + call out allowance of up to £7500 + expenses
About the Role
Our globally renowned and respected client has been established for 60 years and specialise in the design, manufacture and support of bespoke in vitro diagnostic solutions for supply throughout the world. They are seeking an experienced and self-motivated multi skilled Field Service Engineer to complement their professional team and provide the highest levels of technical customer service and satisfaction in the Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of a range of automated laboratory equipment associated with Clinical and Industrial markets in the Watford / North London region of the UK.
Responsibilities
* Install, perform Planned Preventative Service, undertake Reactive Repair and provide Technical Support for a portfolio of automated laboratory equipment.
* Engage with customers in hospitals, laboratories and with blue chip FMCG clients; manage vehicle stock inventory efficiently and within guidelines.
* Ensure activities are completed on time and to the highest levels of accuracy with supporting documentation submitted in accordance with engineering and service department requirements.
* Attend initial in-house training and any additional training courses to maintain knowledge levels and ensure high levels of service.
* Keep informed of industry developments and technology advances relevant to the role.
* Assist with project work when required to achieve deadlines and provide on-call customer support as part of the Service Team rota.
* Understand and comply with all relevant company policies and applicable industry regulations and legislation (including Health & Safety at Work); follow SSOW on site.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Essentially live in or around the Oxford area; hold a full UK driving licence.
* Qualified to at least ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline.
* Demonstrated 3 or more years of experience in a comparable service or maintenance environment (lab or medical equipment experience is advantageous).
* Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels.
