Veterinary Surgeon – Up to £65,000 DOE + Relocation Package Available
Location: West Midlands
Are you a confident, enthusiastic veterinary surgeon looking for your next big opportunity in a supportive, progressive environment? Whether you’re searching for a full-time or part-time role (minimum 35 hours), this practice would love to welcome you to the team. This is a permanent role, primarily based at the Hospital site, though some flexibility to support other branches may be required.
This vibrant and talented team is known for nurturing growth and inspiring excellence. A team of 16 vets includes 7 certificate holders across disciplines such as cardiology, dermatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, internal medicine, and both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. A further 6 vets are currently working toward their certifications. As a result, they have cultivated a dynamic environment where learning, collaboration, and personal development are at the heart of the business.
This position would suit someone confident across all areas of small animal work, including consultations, surgery, and dentistry. You'll be working alongside a skilled clinical team of nurses and patient care assistants, including overnight nursing support. With 12 operating theatres, access to CT, and a fully equipped dental suite, you’ll have the tools and caseload to thrive clinically and professionally. Dental training and support with further certifications are readily available.
You’ll work a 40-hour week, with a fair rota that includes just 1 in 10 full weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and 1 in 5 Saturdays. Time off in lieu is given following weekend work. Their dedicated night team covers all out-of-hours cases, and weekday appointments finish at 6:30pm, allowing a true work-life balance.
They have a proud heritage stretching over 50 years, offering first opinion and referral services across an award-winning hospital and surrounding branches. Situated just outside Birmingham, ideally placed for city life while still enjoying the charm and space of the West Midlands. The team is as friendly as it is talented, and they even have a spacious break room (with posh coffee!) to unwind in between cases.
They genuinely believe in looking after people. From generous holiday allowance and funded CPD to a full wellness programme and a pension scheme, you’ll find plenty of reasons to join and stay.
If you’re ready to join a team that champions growth, supports development, and provides exceptional pet care with heart, get in touch for an informal chat or arrange a visit to meet them in person.
