Mechanical Design Engineer - Offshore and Renewable Energy - North West England
Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work at the forefront of the global energy transition? This is a rare opportunity to join a fast:growing specialist engineering business supplying critical mechanical solutions to the offshore wind, floating wind, and oil and gas sectors worldwide.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer youll be involved at every stage - from early concept and R and D through to prototype build, testing, and design validation. No two days are the same.
What youll be doing:
: 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings in Autodesk Inventor
: Design calculations using MathCAD Prime and engineering first principles
: FEA, stress analysis, fatigue assessments, and design validation
: Concept generation and R and D support for new mechanical products
: Prototype builds, workshop trials, and test data analysis
: Interfacing with engineering, commercial, and operations teams
What were looking for:
: Minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
: 4+ years experience in a relevant Mechanical Design Engineer role
: Strong CAD skills - Autodesk Inventor preferred
: FEA experience and ability to produce independent engineering calculations
: Right to work in the UK
The package:
: Alternate Fridays or every Friday afternoon off
: Up to GBP 45,000
: 8 company pension contribution
: 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays
