This is an exciting part time (14 hrs/week) opportunity within Children's Social Care for a Consultant Social Worker - Children & Families Hub (our integrated front door/MASH).
The Children’s and Families Hub - Consultant Social Worker works closely alongside and support the Team Manager and colleagues to ensure that children are safeguarded in a timely and efficient manner. As a Consultant Social Worker you will have the opportunity to lead and support best practice including support for ASYEs' within the Team and those less experienced. You will need to have relevant experience in statutory safeguarding services, particularly in threshold application with a Front door setting. You will have experience in delivering safeguarding advice to colleagues and partner agencies and have an interest in expanding your learning and development in all aspects of early help provision and children’s social care. The service covers all aspects of the front door decision making and threshold application (which includes our MASH).
You will receive excellent support through reflective supervision, group supervisions and an enhanced training offer that supports our Relationship based practice model including, systemic practice, Signs of Safety, motivational interviewing, restorative and trauma informed practice. With access to a wealth of resources in the borough, social workers are able to work creatively and collaboratively with families and colleagues to get the best services in place to meet the needs of our children and families.
