Overview
We wish to appoint a qualified, highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Early Years Specialist Teacher to work with children with severe and complex needs from birth to seven years in a variety of environments including Early Years settings and mainstream schools. Support will focus on advice, training, and direct individual and/or group teaching and modelling to meet children’s needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide advisory support, training, and modelling to meet the needs of children with severe and complex needs (birth to seven years).
* Work across the County in accordance with service need.
* Collaborate with parents/carers and families to develop strong working relationships.
* Deliver direct classroom teaching and/or group sessions as required.
Qualifications / Experience
* Minimum of 5 years post-qualification teaching experience, including at least 2 years with children with a range of SEND.
* Fully conversant with the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
* Extensive knowledge and some experience in SEMH, cognition & learning, and communication & interaction needs.
* Ability to develop excellent working relationships with parents/carers and families.
* Full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle (Authorised Car User Allowance applies).
Requirements
* Salary – Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale + TLR2a + Min SEN.
* Hours per week: 16.5; Part-time; Hybrid working; Working base: Home Brewery Building, Arnold, NG5 6DB.
* Appointment from January 2026; Closing Date: 18 September 2025, 23:55; Interview date: 26 September 2025.
