Bristol (City of Bristol)
Axcis Education Recruitment
Youth worker
Posted: 30 June
Offer description

Youth workers - want to move to school work? Axcis Education are appealing to any youth workers across Bristol that may be looking for a new challenge and interested in working with vulnerable children in school/colleges for the new academic year in September. Even if it is a case that you have been a supportive ear to a vulnerable child and helped them through a difficult time, you will have skills that can greatly help in a school environment. Whilst relevant training and qualifications are great, experience is just as important, so if you have nothing on paper but have a good work history working with vulnerable children and adults, schools will still be happy to have you! So whether you need 1 day a week of 5, get in touch today and see what we can do for you. Most of the work we offer is often long term, but there are also opportunities to do more day to day based stuff as well. Now is a great time to get in touch as September is usually the busiest time for us with staffing requests. We also offer free online training so can help you expand your CV and gain you some qualifications to go with your experience. Many youth workers that have come to us before have done very well in this work and have gone on to permanent jobs. So whether you are looking for full time work or something part time, get in touch and see what we can do for you! An enhanced DBS on the update service is required to work with children.

If you are interested, then please contact Lee Harris on 0117 4722400 | Ext: 2006 and click on the apply button.

If you are not interested in this role but know someone else who might be, don't forget that we offer £150 in shopping vouchers if you refer a friend to us and we place them in the job. For more details, contact your local Axcis office.

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer and as such we do not discriminate based on age, gender, disability, race or any other equal opportunities criteria.

The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

As such, you will be required to provide an up to date DBS, or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf, in addition to other mandatory compliance checks in line with the DfE guidelines (for details please see our website).

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.

You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
