JDR Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Weekend Shunter / Warehouse Operative to join a busy transport and warehouse operation in Belfast.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, working across both yard and warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. You'll play a key role in supporting transport, logistics, and production activities over the weekend shift.

The Role
This position involves a combination of on-site trailer shunting and warehouse picking duties as required. You will be responsible for ensuring trailers are moved safely and efficiently around the yard while also supporting warehouse operations during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities
Shunting Duties
✅ Moving trailers safely between loading bays, parking areas, and loading points
✅ Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer checks
✅ Reporting defects or maintenance issues promptly
✅ Keeping the yard organised, safe, and efficiently managed
Warehouse / Picking Duties - If Required
✅ Picking products accurately to customer order requirements
✅ Working safely within a chilled warehouse environment
✅ Following all hygiene, food safety, and health & safety procedures
✅ Supporting warehouse and production teams when required

What We're Looking For
✔ Previous shunting or yard experience preferred
✔ Warehouse or order picking experience advantageous
✔ Good awareness of health & safety procedures
✔ Reliable and able to work independently
✔ Comfortable working in chilled warehouse conditions
✔ Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
✔ Flexible and team-focused attitude

16 hours per week - Weekend Work
Start time will be between 11:00am - 2:00pm
