Role Title: Infrastructure Manager - End User Compute Lead
Location: Sheffield, Pond Street (Hybrid)
Grade: SNA / Band 9
As the Infrastructure Manager working as part of the Technology Service Delivery Team at RMG, you will be responsible for managing 35,000 connected users and 21,500 end user devices, including laptops and desktops, across RMG’s nationwide infrastructure estate. You will work cross-functionally with various technology teams and manage multiple outsourced suppliers to deliver projects and services.
You’ll oversee Annual Evergreen OS Feature upgrades, monthly patching, application packaging, zero-day browser vulnerabilities, and other responsibilities within a large user estate. This role is dynamic and business-critical!
What will you do?
* Manage Microsoft OS Gold Image
* Coordinate hardware refreshes of laptops and desktops
* Deploy Annual Microsoft Evergreen OS Updates
* Handle Monthly Security Patching
* Manage Application Packaging and deployment via SCCM
* Build relationships with colleagues across Service Management, Architecture, Cyber, and outsourced providers
* Proactively manage security, risk, and compliance
* Approve Incident, Request, and Change Management processes
What skills and experience should you have?
* Expertise in End User Compute technologies (e.g., Microsoft W11, SCCM, Browsers, M365)
* Experience with ServiceNow platform
* Experience in project alignment and financial advising
* Experience supporting large organizations and communicating with Senior Leadership
* Experience managing End User via telemetry, persona management, and automation/self-service
* Clear stakeholder communication skills
* Energetic, collaborative, and enthusiastic about delivery
* ITIL Foundation certification
