Company Overview
This is a crucial role within the Teledyne-e2v RF Power Division. The role is to be part of the Equipment team to ensure RF Power equipment is maintained and repaired to a high standard and quality, ensuring safe operation and minimizing production downtime. This role will support RF power functions, production teams, and engineering support, providing independent assurance and governance.
Effective communication skills are critical for success in this role, with the ability to apply knowledge and skills to reduce equipment downtime.

Position Summary and Responsibilities
We seek individuals capable of maintaining, fault finding, and rebuilding processing equipment, including ovens, furnaces, and pump stations. Tasks include replacing failed heating elements and troubleshooting electrical control systems and gas control cabinets.
* Organize and prioritize workload.
* Follow good health and safety practices.
* Perform regular safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
* Conduct reactive breakdown repairs.
* Support equipment build and calibration teams.
* Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance.
* Assist in sourcing spare parts and managing inventory.
* Perform basic mechanical fabrication for repairs.
* Suggest and implement equipment improvements.
* Support production engineers with technical advice.
* Identify equipment needing replacement and report to line manager.
* Reduce reliance on external service contracts.
* Assist with apprentice training.
* Work overtime as needed to support production.
* Provide regular updates to line management.
Qualifications:
* BTEC/NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
* High self-motivation and creativity.
* Understanding of technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Ability to work within deadlines and budgets.
* Electrical fault finding skills.
* Knowledge of temperature control systems.
* Understanding of single and three-phase systems.
* Fault finding in pneumatic, hydraulic, and water-cooling systems.
* Technical/engineering apprenticeship or HNC in engineering or equivalent.
* Knowledge of temperature PID control systems (Eurotherm).
* PLC fault finding or programming (Mitsubishi).
