Responsibilities
* Lead the sales team: ensure all members understand the implications of The Toyota Way for their role and monitor performance against customer service targets (e.g. CRS and Google Reviews); model the skills and behaviours associated with Steven Eagell Group & The Toyota Way; focus on delivering Complete Customer Satisfaction at all times
* Manage performance to achieve key targets and deliver continuous improvement: monitor individual and team performance against agreed sales targets (volume and profit); work with the GM and field staff to review progress and develop action plans; motivate the team to deliver key activities; manage the Sales Administration team to meet standards and timescales; review and improve sales processes to increase customer satisfaction and profitability; resolve customer complaints with colleagues
* Manage and develop individuals: monitor training needs and ensure development plans are in place; address performance issues through coaching; assess potential recruits for the Sales team
* Provide advice and sign-off on key issues: decide display layout and vehicle mix for new/used cars within guidelines; collaborate with the Parts/Aftersales Manager on accessory displays; approve part exchanges and purchases of used cars; sanction paint or repair work on part exchanges/used cars or preparation work on new cars; agree goodwill gestures and discounts; negotiate with suppliers for best terms; monitor used car stock value and margins
* Work as a full member of the centre team: collaborate across the dealership to provide seamless service; ensure opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the appropriate specialist; participate as part of the dealership’s management team; manage own customer base and cover for Sales Executives as required

Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience as a Sales Manager in automotive sales (preferred)
* Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas
* Excellent customer service and sales experience
* Passion for the automotive industry and desire to work for a leading manufacturer
