Key Responsibilities: Deliver one-on-one assistance tailored to each student’s unique needs Help students develop essential life and learning skills Promote participation in social and community-based activities Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to implement personalised learning plans Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating space for learning Requirements: Previous experience supporting individuals with SEN, ideally in a school or youth setting is advantageous A caring, patient, and understanding approach Strong interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues A collaborative mindset and a positive attitude Relevant training or qualifications in SEN support are desirable To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you should: Have the right to work in the UK Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
