Job Description
My client a leading infrastructure company operating in construction, rail and civils across the UK.
They are now looking to recruit a Technical Bid Writer/Bid Manager to support their business in Central Scotland through the preparation and submission of pre-qualification questionnaires and tender quality submissions.
The role would potentially suit a senior civils/rail engineer and/or Sub Agent with a strong technical knowledge and aptitude for the written word looking for a change in career direction and a predominantly office based role.
The successful individual will take ownership of and submit completed professional bids to existing or prospective clients, on time and to the requirements of the invitation to tender, working in collaboration with their experienced estimating team.
Experience in a multidisciplinary rail or civils environment would be beneficial, along with a proven track-record of winning bids to the value of £10m.
You should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships, with the skills to negotiate and influence key stakeholders.
Professional membership of organisations such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or equivalent is advantageous.
