Fixed term contract - up to 12 months.
Join our mission to support customers through difficult times - and help them sustain safe, stable homes.
At Selwood Housing, we're here for our customers - not just when things are going well, but especially when life gets tough.
We're looking for a compassionate and resourceful Tenancy sustainment coordinator to support residents who are at risk of losing their homes. This is a role where you'll make a real, tangible difference - helping people through challenges like financial hardship, or those experiencing a tenancy related crisis - and working with them to find a stable way forward.
What you'll do:
* Take ownership of a diverse and ever-evolving caseload of vulnerable customers, delivering an excellent, consistent and responsive tenancy sustainment service to enable customers to live independently and improve their quality of life.
* Understand the issues faced by customers and proactively source a range of support to enable them to address these.
* Give accurate advice and information to customers and ensure accurate and factual information is recorded, remaining up to date with all legislative and policy changes which may affect the customer you are supporting.
* Maintain links and communication with stakeholder services within Selwood Housing, such as income and money advice, lettings, neighbourhoods and independent living.
* Work with customers who have existing rent arrears or who may be at risk of this following a change of circumstances, or when a change is imminent, to prevent breach of tenancy.
What we're looking for:
* Demonstrable experience in a support role.
* Educated to GCSE level standard or equivalent.
* Demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable people including those with mental health problems.
* A methodical, organised approach to work, with the ability to handle a busy, varied workload.
* Excellent communication skills, and evidence of ability to communicate with diverse audiences and relate well to people of all backgrounds.
Please note: Successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Additionally, a full and valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is essential for this role.
