Temporary Works Engineer Hemel Hempstead £45k-£55k plus benefits We are working with a multi-disciplinary civil and structural design consultancy based in Chesham, who have a reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative engineering solutions across the UK. Their specialisms include concrete frame value engineering, high-rise construction, difficult ground condition solutions, temporary works, pre-stressed concrete, and the design and specification of high-tolerance industrial floors. They are currently seeking an experienced Temporary Works Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This role will involve working on a variety of projects, supporting the design and implementation of temporary structures and solutions in collaboration with our civil and structural engineers. Key Responsibilities: Design and check temporary works Work closely with permanent works design teams to ensure coordination Prepare design calculations, drawings, and reports Liaise with contractors, site teams, and clients to provide engineering advice and practical solutions Ensure all temporary works designs are safe, efficient, and comply with relevant codes and standards Requirements: Minimum 3 years of relevant UK experience in temporary works design Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) Strong understanding of Eurocodes/British Standards and CDM regulations Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Tekla Tedds, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset On Offer: A supportive and experienced team environment Exposure to diverse and technically challenging projects Flexible working arrangements where possible Opportunity to contribute to high-profile and innovative designs Want to learn more?
