Overview
The CSE Engineer Engineer for Modernization provides technical support to the sales team to develop, sell and successfully implement KONE products and service solutions that meet customers’ needs. You are responsible for owning the order handling process, defining specifications, details, dimensions, AutoCad layout drawings, estimating delivery times and costs, and managing any customer technical questions while supporting the Sales and Operations teams with technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer relationship management: support sales by analysing customers’ technical needs and developing proposals, outlining how KONE’s products and services can provide clear solutions.
* Customer contact for technical questions and participation in planning/specification meetings with contractors, architects and building owners.
* Attendance at meetings and coordination with the project design team (developers, architects, main contractors, structural and consulting engineers).
* Technical and costing support in the sales/tendering process: coordinate specifications and delivery times with the supply line, sourcing or local subcontractors and ensure the proposed solution fulfils codes, regulations and safety requirements.
* Technical support in the delivery/ordering process: account for technical site surveys, solution engineering, order documentation, project planning, drawing and technical document management; create material specifications for KONE and local materials, organise purchasing, and complete the handover to the Operations team.
* Adherence to company ISO procedures.
Skills & Experience
* Engineering or technical background (Diploma/Degree in mechanical engineering preferred).
* Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a technical role, preferably in the construction industry.
* Experience in the elevator industry and capability to survey and assess existing equipment is desirable.
* AutoCAD experience.
* IT literacy; fluent in MS Office (Excel, Word).
* SAP knowledge preferable.
* Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
* Customer focused with excellent attention to detail.
