Join us as a Client Tax Associate within the Client Tax Operations Utility team. Your primary responsibility will be to maximize the client experience and ensure compliance with global tax regulations by facilitating the collection of valid client tax documentation, applying withholding tax and refunds, and submitting regulatory reports. You will be expected to maintain consistent compliance and controls, respond effectively to regulatory and market changes, and strive for operational excellence in our processes and technology.

Some team members operate shifts, either fixed or rotating. The core hours are generally 9am-5pm, with requirements for overtime, weekend work, and occasional shift work to meet deadlines. The department also covers UK Bank Holidays to support clients in overseas markets.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Validate tax documents and certificates received according to JPMorgan and market policies.
2. Open client accounts in JPMorgan’s tax system in collaboration with the sub-custodian network.
3. Set trade settlement instructions and monitor client asset movements to appropriate tax accounts.
4. Lodge tax certificates and declarations with global sub-custodians and depositories to facilitate tax relief.
5. Conduct regular reviews of clients to ensure correct tax treatment across markets.
6. Provide status updates on market account openings and client fund launches, including metrics and milestones.
7. Complete market documentation accurately, obtain sign-offs, and arrange legalization if needed.
8. Monitor and implement changes based on client tax notifications.
9. Build relationships with internal and external key contacts.
10. Own specific MIS metrics and report to management weekly.
