Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Paint Sprayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction painting of structural steelwork and have experience working with various tools and equipment. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a range of steelwork projects. The successful applicant will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a warehouse or construction environment.
Responsibilities
* Apply industrial paint finishes to specified thicknesses predominately using airless spray equipment, with the occasional use of rollers and brushes.
* Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within specified timeframes.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during the painting process.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols.
* Maintain an organised work area, ensuring that tools and materials are stored properly.
* Assist with fabrication and assembly tasks as needed in conjunction with painting duties. Including delivering items to site
* Provide thickness gauge reports to confirm paint specification meets requirements.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in industrial painting.
* Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools are required.
* Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities are necessary.
* Previous warehouse & site experience is advantageous.
* Experience with welding is a plus but not mandatory.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
39hours + overtime
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.50-£16.00 per hour
