Company Overview
My client are a leading dealership within the automotive industry, seeking a Logistics & Workshop Controller to join their team. This role will oversee the preparation, inspection, and scheduling of all vehicles to ensure they meet the company’s exacting standards.
This role supports both the Service and Sales departments, ensuring smooth coordination of vehicle preparation, repairs, logistics, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed inspections of all new stock and Sale or Return (SOR) vehicles, identifying and recording any cosmetic or mechanical issues.
Coordinate with the Service Department to ensure every vehicle receives a full RAC inspection on arrival.
Plan and maintain the daily Service Department schedule to ensure efficient workflow.
Book and manage all servicing, repair, and maintenance appointments.
Oversee and manage the valeting team, setting daily priorities and ensuring all vehicles are prepared to showroom standard.
Ensure vehicles are fully prepared, cleaned, and ready for sale or customer handover in a timely manner.
Liaise closely with the Sales team to guarantee smooth vehicle handovers and excellent customer satisfaction.
Support business logistics, including vehicle movements and coordination across departments.
Transport vehicles when required.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ motor trade experience.
Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
Trailer driving experience is essential.
Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively across teams.
Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining premium presentation standards.
